A family business you can trust

With over 40 years of experience in conveyancing, we support clients in residential BLAH BLAH. We will support you through the process.

Have you bought your dream home or investment property? Looking to sell? Need to transfer ownership?

Conveyancing is an essential step in the legal transfer of a property's ownership between parties and can be a confusing process for all involved. As a highly experienced team, with more than 45 years' experience, Hendry Conveyancers are here to look after the entire process from start to finish. We ensure you understand your obligations, rights and the due dates you have to meet. We support you during the journey whether it be selling or purchasing a home, settling an estate, transferring a title or undertaking a division of land.

Settling a property is a complex process and it is important that thorough attention and expertise is applied to every step along the way. There can be unexpected challenges and legal complexities.

That's where we come in.  We are highly experienced in managing anything that arises and we are committed to clear and ongoing communication. This ensures you get your property settled and we all celebrate!

Whether buying or selling, you should be aware of anything affecting the property such as proposals by government departments, illegal building work, or outstanding rates and taxes. In order to obtain this information, your conveyancer will conduct the appropriate searches and inquiries on your behalf. We take care of everything and keep you informed along the way.

This is a list of just some of the tasks a conveyancer will complete on your behalf. A conveyancer will:

  • Verify your identity.

  • Ask you to sign a client authorisation.

  • Search the Certificate of Title.

  • Search government departments and local authorities such as a local council.

  • Provide advice on the effect of the contract for the sale of land.

  • Prepare and certify legal documents.

  • Stamp required documents.

  • Calculate the adjustments of rates and taxes.

  • Prepare settlement statements.

  • Liaise with mortgagees and financiers.

  • Attend at settlement whether in person or electronically.

  • Store relevant documents.

About Us

Rod and Val Hendry started the business in the 1970s. Because of their excellent communication, care, organisation, and ability to solve any and all unexpected problems that may arise, clients and their families kept returning.

Aaron and Amos Hendry joined the business in the early 2000s and the excellence of Hendry Conveyancers continued. Our friendly team also includes Sharon, Desiree and Liz.

Hendry Conveyancers is a thriving business, but we have never lost that 'family' feel.

We treat every client as 'one of our own' and there is nothing better than the satisfaction and shared celebration when properties are settled!
